1. Provide a safe and inclusive environment to all who surround us, regardless of race, gender identity/expression, sex, socio-economic class, religion, physical or mental abilities, or other factors of their character.

2. Challenge social ignorance and intolerance, and strive to be examples of informed and inclusive individuals.

3. Promote and maintain diversity, active communication and interaction between all students, faculty, and staff on campus.

4. Empower students to feel pride in their mixed heritages and cultures.

5. Advocate for an academic curriculum that is representative of our Latinx student body, our ancestral roots, contributions and historic roots in the US, particularly in NYC. 

6. Provide mentoring and leadership opportunities for BHSECQ Latinx students that will resonate beyond BHSECQ campus.

7. Incorporate both Latinx and Non-Latinx students in activities that will serve as a vehicle for the education and celebration of Latin American, US Latinx and Hispanic cultures.

8. Develop a crucial understanding of Latinx and Hispanic heritages such as what it means to be Latino, Latinx or Latina, or what it means to be an individual of Latin American descent living in the US.

9. Unite our Latinx student body and all BHSECQ students.
